I drove it home from work and parked it in the driveway and walked inside. Ten minutes later the alarm was going off and it was burning up. The alarm has never went off. It almost sounded like it was turning the starter over. The fuse box and **** caught fire but I was able to put it out fairly quickly. This is a 97 automatic 1.5 non vtec. Can it be saved? I have another 97 civic same motor but manual trans. Could I swap the wires over and be able to drive the burned one again?

Can it be saved? Sure. Is it worth saving? Doubtful. Also, 1997 1.5L non-VTEC? There's some information you aren't telling us. That isn't how things work around here.
You'll need a harness, actually multiple harnesses from another '96 - '98 automatic. DX/LX are the same, EX is unique to itself as is the HX.
To get the burnt smell out go to a place to does property restoration for fire/flood damage and see if they'll rent you a machine, we've done it at work a few times for fire damaged vehicles and works very well.
