Well the title says it my friends. Just bought the car with only 129k miles. Gears 1-4 are wonderful until i get to highway speed. After driving 60+ in freeway 5th gear pops out. I quickly put it in place and hold it with my palm and i can feel the transmission "pushing" it back out. If i push it back in i feel grinding. I try again and finally stays in place. It happens every 10 minutes or so in freeway. My question is has this happen to someone and it WASNT the synchros??? Im hoping its the shifter bushings. Any info appreciated
