98 accord popping out 5th gear
Loss of gear position is rooted in shaft movements, meaning the bearings that support the shaft are loose, and the shift change piece is potentially worn out/bent. This allows the shafts to thrust past the shift detents during acceleration/deceleration, pushing the unit out of gear. Usually occurs in 2nd gear.
You'd wish it was the blocking rings once you see how much work and cost is required to re-bearing a transmission properly.
