Default H2b not putting out

Hi everyone I had my car dynoed twice and I wasn't really impressed with how much I spent I did quite some research on the h2b all motor builds and I thought I could have made a conservative 250 on race gase. Anyhow it dynoed at 225whp and 168tq I believe on vp 116 I'll have the chart up later of exact numbers. heres a quick rundown on my setup. Some advice would be appreciated

Jdm h22 euro r motor
Jdm itr 98 spec Trans
Competition twin disc
Skunk2 pro 2 cams
Cam gears
Aries 12-5-1
Supertech valvetrain
Arp headstuds
KS tuned balance shafts eliminator installed in oil pump
KStuned Manual timing tensioner
Ported stock intake and plenum with the butterflies cut and used as a spacer no iacv due to cutting in the holes to portmatch 70mm skunk2 tb
PLM header 4-1
Rosko fuel rail
RC 550
APR fuel pressure regulator
Msd digital 6 with hvc super coil
Tuned with s300 v3

I made that with a stock h22 with pro 1s and a skunk2 manifold. I'd get the tune checked out at another shop, also where are your cam gears at?

Only unknown would be your cam gear settings and see how far off they are from what is recommended per skunk2... Skunk2 cam gears as well?

Your not too far off on power with the stock 90.7mm stroke. Your torque seems right. 95mm will net you atleast 10 more ft lbs of torque and 10-20 more whp... I would suspect theres a few more hp in there... 10 maybe or so

I would be more interested in what kind of times it does in the 1/4. Can you get out to Ewa if the drag strip is still open?

Low reading dyno?
What do stock h22s put out on the same dyno?
Think of a dyno as a tuning tool, and the drag strip for comparison for other cars.

I'd let the engine break in, do some runs with it and go back. Try advancing the exhaust and see what happens, my pro1s ended up with +4 on the exhaust if I remember right. Intake was at 0.

You need to make sure you have enough P2V clearance before you start going beyond skunk2 specs if that is the case... skunk2 pro cam gears?

I am also concerned with how fast it does but they do go hand in hand...my stock engine did 200whp with 150ft lb of tq on same dyno so thats 20+ whp and 15 lb ft of tq net gain over my previous setup that's why I posted this I figure with this setup it's more capable

How much did you gain from going back to retune. I'll look more into the cam gears but is that where the power is hidden?

Every dyno reads different. Mustang dyno reads low. Dyno is just a tuning tool. Make sure those cams were degree in properly with clearances checked p2v & v2v.

What's your afr at wot?

Pro 2's need to be degree'd in. I wouldnt go blindly moving the cam gears around. You can damage your motor easily.

if you don't have a baseline, those numbers are meaningless.

Picture of dyno graph may help.
If your stock h22 made 200whp on the same dyno, then I'd have to agree that There's some more power hiding somewhere.

I agree here. I have not seen a set of pro cams w/ the intake cam retarded and exhaust cam at 0, most of them end up with ~4 degrees of separation and the exhaust cam advanced +4 to +6. Just what I've seen from doing research running and tuning mine.

Alcohol always get them to put out

I also want to ask how come my tuner said I got to use race gas in order to pound it when I see the mainland h2b cars making power on pump??

You will never be able to put optimum timing into that engine at "12.5:1" on pump 93 gas.

The quotes are there for a reason.
