Default h22a4 rebuild

Hey guys I've searched a whole bunch haven't found exactly what I'm looking for. I picked up an h22a4 out of a 97 prelude base that was supposedly a knocker. tearing it apart showed that the bearings were all fine, but that cylinder two was slowly eating it's self alive. Surprisingly enough there's a lot of visual scoring on the cylinder but nothing really catches a fingernail, which brings me to my question.

Can i use just some basic cast rebuild pistons on the frm sleeves reliably? All i find is info about forged pistons and mahl gold is the way to go, but i don't see myself boosting the h22 at all. I'm putting the motor in my cb7, not looking for anything crazy power wise, will get the basic bolt ons, and would like to do some type of type s replica pistons for possible cam upgrades down the road. also, would a set of npr rings work ok? again, not looking for anything crazy, just reliability.

Thanks in advance!

If you are looking for something realiable. I would highly recommend you using as many OEM parts as possible.. Getting some type S Pistons would be great for you.. Put all OEM gaskets and seals..

Also I would bore out the cylinder walls.. Might have to go 1 step bigger piston. Which you can still get OEM.. I forget the measurements
