Hello, I recently just purchased a 1999 Honda Accord 5 speed just as a daily. The car came with 288 on the clock but ran like a dream until about a week ago the CEL came on and last night driving the cel light began to flash. I shut the car off and back on the light stopped flashing. This morning I was gonna take to autozone to get checked and the cel begins to flash after about 2 mins on the car feels like it's going to stall out. Experiencing a loss of power, fuel smell when revved, and now what seems to be a misfire feel when starts (car has shake). I'm new to Hondas, anything you guys recommend I look into before giving to mechanic? I can't get the car to autozone to check codes.

 

Flashing CEL while engine running/driving = A current misfire issue.

Start with finding someone local with a scan tool and checking your ignition components! Look at your plugs and distributor cap for signs of wear, test the resistance of your wires, ignitor and the coil.
