Default WTB: Vehicle Speed Sensor ( VSS ) from Non-Powersteer EF

I want to buy a vehicle speed sensor from a non-powersteering EF to replace the power-steering speed sensor in my 92 GSR.

If anyone has one for sale, or know anyone who does it would be much appreciated. I am not interested in a powersteering vehicle speed sensor because I already have one in my car. Thanks in advance.

Whats the difference between a VSS for PS car vs non PS anyway? I thought it was either electronic or cable only...

To my knowledge, the non-PS EF's don't have plumbing for power steering lines. Since in 90-93 Integras all had power steering standard, the mechanical speed sensor also acts as the regulating device for the power steering boost.

Please see this picture for the 90-93 Integra and correct me if I'm wrong in my assumption about non-PS EF's:

looks like you're right, but cant you just remove the extra plumbing? Or do you think it will change the output V? The 92 gsr is electronic Vss, right? I'm just trying to learn here, don't mind me.

Is that why the SiR Vss has extra wires? At least from the install pictures I saw, it does. I have one sitting around, I should look at it.

90-93 Integras have mechanical speed sensors but there is a reason for me wanting a manual steering speed sensor.

The way I see it, I have three options.
1) Leave the power steering lines attached to the rack.
2) Route the output of the VSS into the input of the VSS (Into a U-shape).
3) Buy a non-PS VSS and get rid of all of the associated lines.

88-91 Civics/CRX's all have mechanical speed sensors, correct?
And about half of them (mostly automatics) have power steering, correct?

The mechanical speed sensor that I have laying around has the 2 extra tubes besides the speedo cable. A rubber hose was attached and looped to the other to somehow plug em. I replaced mine with an electronic VSS when I swapped my cluster so I have no use for these...I'd sell the mechanical VSS for $75 and throw in a 3 month old speedo cable with it too...plus shipping.

And you have a DX, and unless it was an automatic, I'm guessing it didn't have power steering?

They just looped the two fluid lines together?

Yes...The Y1 tranny that I bought had an electronic VSS and had to get a mechanical one to run the speedo. I eventually swapped to an SiR cluster so this VSS is useless for me. I can take a pic if you like...Maybe you can just do that on your current VSS, so you dont have to spend $$...
