Default Family whip 99 crv

So I just picked up my new whip a couple days ago. It's going to be my family car since my boy is almost here. Has a few flaws but overall it's pretty clean. Will be updating as I fix things on it. But for now I thought I share it with you guys

Pictures aint the best angle but will do for now...will post interior pics and better exterior pics later

So like I said there is a few flaws...... one of them is that both driver side windows don't Roll down. I checked the main window switch to make sure that was in working order and everything checked out. So I went ahead and removed the door panel to find.........

Nothing!!!!! There is no window regulator!!!!!
And the only thing holding my window up is that screw that I circled
Havent check the rear one but I'm pretty sure it's the same thing
So I'll be ordering the window regulator today.

So the window just stops working and they don't bother to take it in to get fixed? I'm sorry but that is really odd! Is that why they sold it, so they wouldn't need to fix it?

Not only did they not take it to get it fixed but they removed the regulator! So it stopped working should have been followed with "So we hacked the door to keep the window up and your gonna need a new regulator to get it working again" haha

There's a few sets on eBay right now. One is $499 and the other is $299 + $49.95 shipping. I'm on the hunt. That said THEY AREN'T SIDE STEPS. They're non load bearing and stepping on them WILL break them . They're considered "Sport Trim"

If you decide to sell em I got $250 with your name on it.

Yeah I kinda noticed they couldn't hold much weight when i stepped on them and wasent sure if they where just loose or something, but thanks for the heads up.
Wouldn't have bin very happy if I would've broken them.

You'll be the first in line if I decide to get rid of them.

It hasn't bin in a accident. I was told by last owner that the window just stopped working. I honestly thought it was gonna be the switch or a fuse but when I popped the door panel off....no regulator

Hey kayONE, how has the car been driving? Have all the issues with it been cleaned up? Did you find any other problems in the last couple of months?

Just stopped in to give you a heads up. I saw that you bought this for a family car. This model doesn't have an anchor point for forward facing carseats. If you haven't already, you can add them. I picked some up on ebay for $12. They bolt into the headliner near the hatch. I also wish my '98 was that clean Mine is crusty but trusty.
