D16Y8 Oil Leak

Default D16Y8 Oil Leak

I been having this leak ever since I bought this car, so far Ive changed the distributor and Ive replace the Vtec Gaskets also the Valve Cover gasket and I still have this leak at this point I have no idea what it could be, any suggestions? Thank you in advance

Clean that area with engine degreaser. Scrub it until you can eat a light meal off of it. Then let the car run to warm up and follow the leak from it's source. Simple as that.

Oil that drips to that area is usually either ditributor O-ring or cam seal.
A Vtec solenoid leak usually travels under distributor/ECU sensor and along the top of the transmission.

Did you use Hondabond or RTV sealant in corners (per FSM) during the valve cover gasket install?

No I didnt use Rtv or honda bond, and I changed the vtec gaskets along with the distributor and nothing has helped, Only thing I havent changed was the cam seal

The leak I have is ontop of the transmission right underneath the distributor and it drips down onto the transmisson

The leak is likely from the distributor and/or the VTEC solenoid. You'll make progress by determining which. The ball is in your court.

Hondabond or Yamabond your Vtec solenoid seal. Clean both block and Vtec solenoid mating surfaces thoroughly and be careful not to get any on the screen. Also, Hondabond the valve cover gasket corners per FSM.
