90 ef civic mpfi swap, turns but won't start, at wits end
Ok so I'm trying to get this car running to decide if I want it or if I'm just gonna get my cash back when it sells, at this point I'm stumped though and I've searched this site and others for hours to no avail. As stated its a '90 ef hb civic d15b2 with the mpfi swap, pm6 ECu, the current owner was driving it with a passenger and it died out on him, they roll started it, it ran like **** but made it home. It's been parked about 2 months now, I've been down 4 Saturday's in a row to work on it. We've been using my eg battery to try to start it, but I'm getting it a new one this week. We've replaced the main relay, I have 5 now lol, we replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, dizzy rotor and cap, spark cables and plugs, all with brand new parts, it turns all day but won't start. It was leaking at the fuel filter, so we pulled the fuel rail, it was firing fuel but seemed choked, so we put the fuel rail out of an a6 mani I had laying around, now it's firing clean and strong, but still won't start. It stopped leaking at the filter once we replaced the rail. Aside from getting a new pm6 and rewiring the whole thing I don't know what to do. The timing belt is supposed to be new, put on like 3 weeks before it died. We've gone through all the fuses, I don't know what I'm missing. Please help.
You're missing diagnostic procedure. So "assuming" you in fact have fuel spraying at each individual injector, have you verified if you are receiving spark? If so, what color? Have you verified compression? Have you verified if mechanical timing is still correct? Ignition timing?
