Hi everyone,

A friend of mine is giving me his D15 A3 engine from his 1987 CRX to swap into my 1988 Civic Wagovan, I was wondering if anyone has had any experience doing this kind of swap. The current engine in my car is a D15 B2, is this possible to do and if so can I have some tips please? Thank you guys so much in advance!

 

I've never seen this swap performed. I don't even think the mounts will be close. Seems like more of a headache than anything.

 

seeing as the d15a3 doesnt drop into ANY 88+ civic its all on you! can you weld and fabricate?

 

your friend isn't doing you any favors giving you a wrong engine.
let him keep it and source something correct.
