Only 1 cylinder firing...
Ok i have read all i can, for a week, so id figure id ask sonce i cant find an exact situation that im in. My car ran before i added ANYTHING "aftermarket". I boosted it blah blah and got everything put back together, car ran, dam good. Ive NEVER hit boost, it sat for about 3 weeks, and the only run time it has was short little put puts around the block never seeing over 3k rpm. I go to start the car to get tuned, it doesnt start. According to hondata holding my tps at about 3-6% it will start but only 1 cylinder fires. I know this because in the couple seconds ot ran only 1 pipe on the turbo manifold was got. I havent seen any threads related to only 1 cylinder firing...i replaced the cap and rotor, main relay, wires and plugs as a precaution, still does the same thing. I smell fuel, the plugs were a bit wet, my spark seemed a little weak looking at the might so if anyone knows another route i should start with that would be great, as of now im thinking its the igniter in the distributer but wpuld a bad igniter cause 3 cylinders to not fire while the other is running? Thanks for any input.
I have a friend bringing me a co pression guage to work tomorrow, and i will look into renting the hei, are you asking me to do this stuff because of my igniter therory not being accurate? Just asking
I'm asking you to do basic diagnostics to prove or disprove your theory. We don't guess, we diagnose. You might be right, you might be wrong, but these tests will give you a more solid answer.
