Default chrome plater or dipper? recommendations?

I have a 96 prelude with legend gs 2 piston calipers and I want to have just the caliper dipped in chrome, as I'm going to paint the bracket black.

Has anyone done this or know of someone who is capable of doing a good job? Tia!

The price of Chroming (at least in my area) has gone through the roof in the last 10 years.

EPA regulations have shut down a lot of places so the guys left are few and far inbetween which jacks the price up.

I had 2 emblems done for a 60s truck and it ended up being $150. They are like 6" wide by 1" tall . . . not sure what the going rate for a caliper is.

To be honest, you may want to maybe just look into ceramic coating them....cheaper and I think it will be a more durable coating for that particular item in question

Whoa, that's alot of money for some emblems. I can imagine calipers would run $500+ easily..

So if I was to ceramic coat them, I could polish them if I was so inclined? Or have them professionally polished? I pay people to do stuff I don't wanna do these days, haha

I was also planning on having my dragster radius rods/front axle chromed until they told me the price on the emblems. They quote me $700 to do a 1/5" x 4' wide solid axle tube and four 1" x 2' radius rods.

I paid for the emblems and never looked back . . .

You can polish ceramic coating although it won't get to chrome level shiny.

I'd try getting a couple of quotes on the chroming . . . the cheapest guys I have found are guys that "left" the business and do it on the side.
