So my door locks are crazy. They sometimes to this....

This video shows what the lock does when attempting to unlock it from the passenger side. The only way I can open the driver side door is from the driver side using the key. I can lock/unlock the doors using the LOCK button from the driver side.

In addition to that

1) I can't open the trunk without using the key and pulling up with the key turned

2) Can't unlock all locks when I open the door even when I turn the key twice.

3) Sometimes it is VERY difficult to open the driver side door with my key. Feels like something is stuck in there

I've removed the door panel and inspected inside a few times before (I've been dealing with this issue for years), but can't find anything. I know this is probably a common problem so I'm hoping I can fix this myself somewhat easily.

1) sounds normal, 3) you probably need a new key cut or new tumbler, or both. The first issue and number 2) are to do with electrical things which i have no experience in. Ive only had manual door locks.

 

What car do you have? The door lock system changed from 1997 to 1998.

 

Thek key issue is quite normal on my intgra the key feels like that sometimes, i think a new key made will help.

#1 I believe is normal my 99 gsr and 98 gsr does that, have to turn the key and the lever to pop it open.

#2 and #3 and the video sound like your passenger door lock actuator OR door lock control module is damaged and needs to be replaced which is not much and not hard to do. I think it might be the control module..
