should I should I not?
I have some white Monza team dymanics motorsport rims and they are old. (Some minor scratches and nicks from people who dont know how to drive by curbs) I want to spice them up a little and change color. I know this is dicussed all the time but I havent heard of anyone painting aftermarket rims. Sugestions Please!
if you really want to change the color, go with a powdercoat. just about any color you can think of, i think a good powdercoat goes for like 200 or so.
well it's where you take the original coating off the old wheel, then positively charge the wheel. then negatively charged paint powder is sprayed onto the wheel, and sticks to it. then the wheels are put in a giant oven at a high temperature, and the paint bonds to the wheel. the outcome is a new colored wheel, that is very resistant to chemicals or road salt, scratches, etc
are you being serious or just a smartass? i haven't really looked into getting rims powdercoated, so i don't know how hard it will be to find one. i know there is a place that does powdercoating downtown in my town, so i'm guessing they aren't THAT unheard of.
