Default Hey everyone! New member here, q's about 04 Civic

Hey guys! Recently had to retire my 97 Civic because I got rear-ended pretty hard. I finally found something I'm happy with to replace it, a 2004 Civic Value Coupe. I got a good deal on it, but it does have a couple problems that I'd like some advice with.

First thing, I've tried googling this but can't seem to find anything relevant. Is it possible to replace the stock instrument panel with something that's got a tachometer? It's not a huge deal, but the one that's in there just strikes me as incredibly bland. Can I just swap it out from an instrument panel from another 7th gen civic?

Additionally, and I understand that this is something that would be really hard to diagnose over the internet, there's a really strange sound coming from the front wheel wells. It almost sounds like that point where popcorn reaches critical mass in the microwave. It's an irregular popping or tapping or rattling sound. It's not really loud, with the music on I can't hear it, but it's irritating when the car's quiet. Can't hear it at all with the windows down. Any ideas?

I think that swapping a cluster with tach on it won't be a problem the popping sound what you are referring to might be your compliance bushing that are at your front lower control arms also do check your outer tie rod ends as well. Hope this help

Thanks to both of you! Finals week for me, so I haven't had a lot of time to mess around with the car, but definitely appreciate the feedback!!
