Default Hard race bushing

I'm about to start installing a set in my car. I noticed that at least one bushing on the rear knuckle (ep3 disc knuckles) has a bonded bushing. The hardrace replacement is not bonded. There is no metal she'll on the outside. Anyone know if it was designed to be like that? Would the hardrace non-bonded bushing be okay to run in that location?

Are you referring to the knuckle or the trailing arm?

The actual knuckle itself. There is the upper which I believe hard race has the bonded steel bushing. The lower front I believe is replaced with a bonded one too (factory part is bonded). The diameter is the same on the front and rear position on the rear knuckle, so it doesn't seem like it should be a big deal. While we're on the trailing arm, has anyone done the bushings? Hard race has 2 pieces that go into the bushing. It seems a little weird.

The lowers are non-bonded. The upper is bonded.

As for the trailing arm, you'll have to use a torch (most likely) to get the factory bushing out. Then its a matter of pressing in the new one.
