So I have to replace my distributor and I have always noticed the little ground strap connection .. Does anyone hook that up?

 

never seen it or used it. you will be fine leaving it be.
furthermore i remember back in the day seeig a ground strap test when the dizzy was grounded to chassis or near it it cause electrica disturbance. i keep mine away.
