Hello, I have a 1993 honda accord f22 engine that i just rebuilt and now I'm having trouble with the Tranny. While I was test driving the new engine the car came out of gear and wouldn't go into any gear. When the vehicle was off I was able to move the gear shift into park but before that when I went to go put the vehicle into park it would grind loudly so it wouldn't move into park until vehicle was off. It will not go into any gear but I can move gear shift and hear a little grind or engage when trying to go into drive but car won't move. And at this point it is when it grinds loudly and won't go back into park. I'm at a lost so if anyone has any answers before it is towed to someone I would love to troubleshoot.

How is your fluid level ?

 

fluid is good

 

Check you axles.
Broke one on my 95, no power to wheels and if you were able to put the shifter into Park you would hear grinding/ratcheting sounds from the parking pawl trying to engage the spinning sprocket. With the axle broken there is no way to stop the differential from moving and there is no way the parking pawl can prevent the shaft from stopping on its own.
