Default Oem Lca's

Have a Gsr head with Itr valves, itr springs, and itr cams. I have the newer style oem honda/acura Gsr Lma's. I took my gsr head off my engine and tore the head down to find that 1 of the Lma had broke. It was on a intake valve. Ive heard of ppl havong problems with Skunks Lma's, but has anyone ran into this issue with oem Lma's breaking ?

Pretty sure sos is oem, they just use prelude application and machine a seat to correct the install height...

No, no they aren't.

I haven't had any issues with OEM LMAs and as big as Skunk2 Pro2 cams. What camshafts are you running OP?

Ok, I saw this post before but how are they not oem? The spring specs are barely different and would fall in line with what I would expect different batches to come in at. I am convinced the only difference is, like I stated earlier that they simply machined their own bottom seat to the very affordable prelude part. I doubt science of speed engineered and contracted a vendor to make their own spring....

LOL, nevermind, for some reason I recalled the H22 LMAs being wound different. But after looking up some pictures, I believe you are right. If that's the case then, DAMN Honda is ripping people off if SOS can source them that cheap, machine bases, and sell them for half of what OEM costs.

Yeah for quite some time people were just shimming up the bottom of the prelude lma to get the correct install height. Their website description and pictures even hint that they do the same. Sos just copied the oem base shim design and enjoyed the relatively easy profit. I bet they sourced them from someone who got dealer cost because normal dealer discount still brings them in at 72-73 dollars. After they make the bases and package them 116 seems cheap....
