I've got a 97 Accord SE, 4 cyl with 300K+ miles. I'm going to clean out the EGR tracks in the intake manifold. Any suggestions on what I should lube the lower injector o-rings with when I put the new ones in?

 

I'd just use a sqidge of whatever dielectric grease you have. Though I don't remember using grease when I replaced my injectors' rubber bits and they went in pretty smooth.

 

I just lube it up with oil. Just as long as it goes in nice and smooth which won't tear up the new ones.

 

I too just use a thin and even coating of motor oil.

 

Thanks to all of you for the tips. I lubed the o-rings up, re-installed, and presto, - started up and no vacuum leaks! I still have rough idling, but with the P0441 code, I think the problem may be the purge control solenoid valve. I've already cleaned the EGR runners.
