Icon5 Reluctor / toner ring scrapped off Honda Fit

My rear brake spanner came off and scrapped the reluctor (or toner) ring off of the bearing assembly. There is nothing wrong with the bearing assembly and I don't want to replace it. Does anyone know of a way to replace just the reluctor part? I can't find a part listed for it. It looks like it is made out of some kind a fabric with I guess magnetized bumps. Someone must make these things and glue them onto the bearing assemblies. Any ideas?

They are aluminum rings, or steel of some type. You will not find a reluctor because it is attached (at the front) onto the axle, or to the rear wheel bearing hub.

I really what to know what: "My rear brake spanner came off and scrapped the reluctor (or toner) ring off of the bearing assembly" really means?????????

If the reluctor fell off, you need new parts that contain the bearing or axle WITH the ring still on it. I've seen dealers try to fix this problem by tack-welding the parts back together, but it does not work. The air gap is never correct, and often hits the sensor itself.

If you want this post to go anywhere, I suggest you start will telling us what you did to cause this part to become separated.... exactly. This part does not just simply "fall off".

The spanner that holds the rear drum brake shoes apart, came out. Half of it landed against the brake shoe and the axle. As the wheel turned the spanner removed the reluctor ring. This happened sometime after I went to just brakes (they were the last ones to touch the brakes until I looked at them, not sure if they did not put it back right or if it just fell out).

You need to take it back to Just Brakes and have them just fix what they screwed up on your car. Brake parts don't just randomly fall out, they F'd the job.

Spanner is not the correct term for this part. It is the brake shoe adjuster, a spanner is a wrench (unless that is wrong too).

Since this happened after a brake job, the brake job is suspect. Take it back, and have it fixed. Call the owner or company relations to have it fixed.

spAdam,

lol, that is what I thought too but it was over 2 years ago and I replaced the adjuster myself already. Don't really want to go back there, ever.
