Default Intricacies of K24A (jdm) swap into 7th gen Civic

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to see if there is anyone with first hand experience with this swap.
The 160hp jdm K24A into 7th gen Civic coupe... Are there any nuances/intricacies with this swap to be aware of?

Or am I overthinking it, and it's just going to be plug-n-play with a usdm Accord ECU?
Any different sensors of anything drastically different on the jdm engine?
Just want to make sure I know what I am getting myself into

Thanks for any advice

This swap is not even close to a bolt-in affair.

You will need a set of swap mounts, a conversion harness, a USDM RSX engine harness, RSX lower cradle, '02-05 Civic Si radiator and fans, base RSX axles and I would suggest KPro... and that just covers the basics. We haven't talked about P/S or A/C yet... that will require more conversion parts.

If this sounds easy... and affordable... then go for it.

Well with an RSX lower cradle and a set of mounts in hand, it does become a direct bolt-in. Plus the axles like you mentioned.

As for KPro - is that really necessary? Wouldn't a 2003-2005 usdm Accord ECU run this engine? It looks like it's the same displacement/compression/hp/torque/redline. Or is there something I am missing?

And the conversion harness. Looks to me like it's just a matter of finding the right Honda wire connectors and just soldering some wires. I am not sure if anyone has done a DIY on this.

P/S and A/C - I would want to keep the A/C for sure
