Default Intake questions

I have a 2004 civic with the crap d17a2. I have been reading about the d16y8 intake swap and in my junkyard hunt i found a d15b7 intake. From the looks of it, its the same as the y8 intake. Besides the slightly smaller plenum, can this intake be used on my a2 head and would it flow better the the stock intake?
When the engine put a rod through the block I thought what better time to make my daily driver have a bit More power. I know it's not going to be Alot, but here is my build idea. All input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Build idea
D17a1 block
D17a2 head p&p with stage 1 cam
D15b7 intake with cold air or the y8
Header with full exhaust
7lb flywheel with stage 2 clutch

I think your referring to the Intake Manifold not the intake arm its self right?

If thats the case i have no idea probably better to post it in the civic section maybe.

If you ask me and your going with after market cams just save some money and if theres a aftermarket intake manifold you can use id use that instead of a stock manifold. You most likely will not gain much from swapping to that manifold being its still a stock manifold unless you do some porting ect.

do not put the b7 intake on the d17a1. the intake manifold swaps are for d15/d16 engines from 88-00 not the d17 engines. I suspect it wont even fit the intake manifold is plastic and completely different on the d17.

Even if the manifold would easily bolt up you are talking a 102 horsepower engine intake manifold going onto an engine that makes 127 hp. thats a great way to lose a lot of power.
