2003 Honda CR-V having slow acceleration until 2,200 rpm then peps up. Right at 2,300 rpm theres a noticeable pick-up in power. Anybody out there have a similar issue? Manual transmission. Gearbox gets somewhat crunchy when warmed up. Took it up to Honda and they performed a 3rd gear take off and stated my clutch was strong? Any thoughts Honda Lovers?

No codes. No CEL. I changed the rear diff fluid when I bought it last year and will change it at 15,000 mi intervals. Just throwing that out there.

 

Research a clog or gunk on the VTC or VTEC screen. It might be your issue. You will find a number of posts on the Honda internet forums in regard to the second generation CRVs having acceleration issues when these get clogged up.
