lowered cars vs roads
Hello everyone,
I Just recently got a 2000 gsr the has lowered on tein coil overs. I would raise the car up some but is "stanced" and I think it would look really dumb if it was raised it up. I moved to VA from OR and the roads here (Hampton roads area) are really bad compared to where I'm from.
Last week I was driving and I seen a bump in the road( like if a basket ball was trying to escape from under the pavement). With a car passing me I had about 3 seconds to slow down and decided if I was to hit it with the tire or go over it, well I decided to go over the bump. When I went over the bump it felt and sounded like my engine fell out of the car. About 3 blocks down the road I was able to pull off the road and I noticed my ex manifold was toasted.
If anyone has a lowered car or experience with one what would you do? Pics of damage would be useful.
Thanks

Stanced looks dumb. Raise the car up.
No pics but i hit a transition too fast onto a steel bridge where the tarmac had sunk below the edge of the bridge. It ripped my oil pan at the bolt, creating a 1in×0.5in tear right where the threaded flange for the drain bolt is. Caught it when my oil pressure fluttered and saved the engine lol.
My exhaust is all scraped up too cause it hangs too low (need to fix the hangers)
Im not even that low. I have a 2nd gen integra. Goes over speed bumps just fine and everything. Stanced is stupid

Do what's best for you and what you like. Things are going to happen when your low. You either got the money for it or not. Depends on what you wanna do and how far you wanna keep going with it. If you love car so much and wanna keep look but don't wanna keep messing car up. Get a daily asap. If not get some stock looking wheels, ride those, raise car up some. Do the stance look for meets or whatever you may do.
