Ready for my 1st mod
So I have a 99 accord v6 sedan and I'm ready to lower it. I'm not tryna have corner carver or anything like that so i don't want and super suspension set up like coil overs or anything like that. My car is at stock ride height (high lol) and I really wanna get rid of the wheel gap to where the tires tuck just under the fenders. Anyway any spring recommendations and how low do I need to go to get rid of fender gap. Thanks in advance
A 2" drop is probably all that's needed to close up wheel gap, but make sure you use a GOOD shock. Koni Sport and Bilstein HD/Sport are all I recommend. The Billie's aren't adjustable, but they have excellent damping. The factory shocks are absolutely inadequate to hold up to a higher spring rate that's necessary with a lowering spring.
So...what does that mean lol. It'll end up being bouncy or dampening will be stiff

Lowering springs have higher spring rates which cause them to exert more force on the system of the vehicle. The stock shocks' valving isn't designed to dampen these higher forces and it wears them out, plus the ride becomes bouncy and uncomfortable. Stiffer shocks designed to work with stiffer springs will prevent the body of the car moving around and being "bouncy".
Oh ok. I get it. So spring reccomendations?
