Registration is up to the state, the legality of the importing and the status of the car is a federal thing. You can get the car registered but it is known as a grey market vehicle and DOT or Homeland Security can seize and crush it at any time. Also there are legal ramifications, including prison time and fines.

Legal and registered do not mean the same thing. Google it.

This car would have a hard time registering in Cali. LOL! Would be a great car to swap everything over to a USDM hatch, but then u'ld be spending more money and it wouldn't really be a JDM car anymore.

Nice ride!

Very limited description and outdated pictures... Im guessing the lack of care put into your sale ad reflects the type of care you showed this R during your ownership.

Beautiful car! Would love to know more about its history as well. Are you the one who imported it?
