Hey everyone I have a slight issues and I have no idea what to do.
I just bought a 92 prelude with a Jdm h22a motor in it for 200$
Ran great until the other day when the serpentine belt snapped and ripped both the power steering and the a/c and alternator bolts.
So I started to replace the belts and I took out he power steering pump while I was there.
I put the belt on and started the car it started smoking like crazy, shut the car off, looked at everything thought it might be some power steering fluid that leaked turned it on again, and kept smoking and then started shredding the belt. When I kept looking smoke is coming from the alternator. I thought maybe the pulley is bad, but it spins easily and actually charges my battery.
I then realized my crank pulley is super wobbly so I tightened that down and it's still smoking.
It looks like maybe the belt is rubbing against the motor so I tried loosening the crank Pully still no luck. Lastly It looks like the alternator and the crank pulley aren't directly in a line but off center a bit..... I honestly have no freaking clue what's going on but I've gone through 3 belts already and I want the car to run.
And yes I made sure the belt isn't too tight, I have played around with the tensioner and still smokes or flys off depending how much I adjust it.
Thank you!!

Below are pictures of the crank pulley
Holy **** that thing is mangled in there. OP, do you not see the missing chunk next to the keyway? You really need to have a good look at the crank snout, and get the front cover off and make sure there aren't any chunks in there with the timing belt.
