Default Bearing talk for high CR motor.

Alright, I'm going to be building a high compression B20V this winter for my autoX car and curious about bearings. I used OEM's on my B18C when I built it two seasons ago, and my understanding is they OEM's are softer than ACL's and the like, so they'll scratch before the crank itself does from sort and debris. ACL even offers their race bearings which I understand are harder than typical ACL's. You also have ability to adjusts tolerances with OEM by thicker or thinner bearing choices.

Is there any benefit (besides cost) for non-OEM bearings?

I've had great luck w/ ACL race bearings and OEM bearings. Just my .02

Ran 1 set of king bearings and had nothing but issues YEARS ago. Never again.

I'll probably order one green Honda main and rod since they're supposed to be same thickness and clearance everything.
