Hello, I have an '09 Accord LX Sedan. The driver seat is beat with part of the metal framework ripped and coming through making for a very uncomfortable driving condition. I have been trying to limp this condition along with various seat covers and padding, but it has come time where I would like to replace the seat.

Best case scenario, I would really like to replace this seat with one from an 09+ TSX. Even thought the upholstery material wouldn't match, I would be comfortable. From the research I have done, it appears as if the TSX seat's airbag connector is the same as the one on my Accord.

Worse case scenario, I would replace the seat with another LX one. However, if possible, I would definitely like to upgrade my seating surface.

I contacted my local Honda dealer on a re-program/initialization and they quickly brushed me off informing me that it will not work and is not safe for any customer to manipulate any components of the SRS system.

So I come looking for some answers or guidance. Can I swap a TSX seat in? Can it be re-programmed/initialized? Can I only swap an LX seat in? Can any seat/SRS components be initialized?

I have thought about taking the seat to an upholstery shop, but do think it might cost quite a bit. Thanks for your time.
