Best struts for 12' Civic LX
Hey Guys,
So we bought our 16 year old daughter a 12' Lx. So we took the car to Vegas on a trip ( cant beat the 37 mpg !!! ) and on the way it seems like I can feel every dip, bump, line, you name it, like it was going straight to my back ( Im only 35 lol ) So my question is, what would be a good new struts I can put on to make the car ride better? The daughter doesnt mind the ride, but we travel 2-3x's a month and the ride is going to get old real quick. The car is bone stock with factory 15's and new stock tires. She wants a stereo first but then she is going to get rims and tires and with all our rides in the past ( 3x Sti's, srt8, Gtr, Qx80, 2x Ram 1 tons etc.... We go big or go home, hate wheel gap and dont care to slam cars anymore. So I would like to get good struts for the car before we take that jump, yes I know tire size plays a roll in ride quality. So I would like to hear from you guys who have bought struts for there 9th gen civic sedans. Im not looking for coilovers or springs right now, just struts. Not cheap but not top dollar either. So any input would be great....... car just hit 50k miles, automatic trans.........
Thanks for any help guys

The current struts probably aren't fautly. Maybe you're just used to the super soft ride quality of a larger car? Or a Toyota?
Honda's stock ride quality is a little lacking. Does Bilstein make a HD shock for that year civic? Those should make it ride better than stock.
Tein street advance or CST coilovers would likely make it ride better than stock as well.
Don't buy insert type shocks.
I'm pretty sure this thread won't ever get replied to.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the reply's. Ok ill check out what you guys suggested and see how they work out. That sucks the factory ride is so bad. I guess I cant complain on a 20k new car........
Thanks again
