99 Accord engine and trans replacement
Hi all. I posted the following question on another Honda site and no replies 2 weeks later......but anyway.....
.....I found a good deal.on a.JDM engine and auto trans combo for my 99 Accord 2.3 (f23a4) to replace my very worn current combo. The guy said I'll have to use my old intake and exhaust manifolds as well as a cpl of sensors on the trans. Can anyone offer any other advice/tips on any other details? Especially being they're from Japanese spec vehicles. Thanks in advance!

That's about right. JDM intakes are a bit different than US spec. JDM AT transmissions have different sensors and you will have to reuse your US spec sensors. Pull out your old shift solenoids and make sure they are clean. Same with the pressure switchs. If the pressure switches appear to be leaking, replace them. 2nd gear pressure switch is known to be a problem.
