I have a Honda Accord Hybrid 2005- In the cold temps of winter mornings, my brake pedal gets hard then loosens up after few seconds of "tapping" on the brake. This happens after sitting overnight but then the brakes work fine. I have read some other posts that suggest that this problem is due to a bad brake booster check valve. Does the 2005 Accord Hybrid have a brake booster check valve? I have attached a picture. Any help would be appreciated. Note: I have already had my brake fluid changed and that did not help.

You need to buy #6. The valve is in the hose,just after the 3 way valve. (if I remember correctly,you may want to call the dealer for verification.)

The Honda Dealer parts people said #6 only includes what's in the picture so he said it did not include a check valve. I bought the #6 (tube assembly, master power) anyway. When I blow into one end the air goes through but when I blow into the other end it does not blow through so I believe that confirms there is a check valve in the tube assembly. I have had this installed for a few days now including one cold morning and I had no problem so far. I will post again after many more cold mornings to verify that the problem is solved.

Yeah parts guys aren't always the sharpest of dealer personal. Often times they send us the wrong part,even with a part number.
