I'm not sure if this is even a thing, but are any of the girdle bolts longer? I thought I had placed my bolts in order when I removed them, but one isn't threading all the way back into the block. The factory service manual didn't mention anything on the page I was looking at. I may have just been in the wrong area of the manual though.

Car is a '89 Si with a D16A6 bottom end.

 

I don't believe there's a difference. Have you tried swapping that one with another and seeing if they seat the same?

 

I didn't. I came inside to research it last night and never went back out. I didn't think there was a difference. I'm just going to pull them and swap them around until it works out. Probably just me being stupid. I'll check the hole.

 

(8) bolts are 116mm long and (2) are 131mm long - the long ones are closest to the flywheel

I ended up finding this out this evening. I just pulled them until I found where the other long bolt was hiding and placed the one I had across from it.

I was just confused by them not being the same length. This is the only time I've been inside a D-series motor and I just don't want to screw something simple up.
