I am looking to get my rex repainted. When i bought the car it was already painted. (The guy i bought it from painted it himself) But now it has a few chips on it and the is some tar under the doors. So i want to get it redone. I think it is the stock color yellow. What did you guys pay for your paintjobs? (Don't bother posting if you did it a maaco) I want to know the price for a "real" paintjob.

1200 for a full exterior,interior,and engine bay.shaved door handles and antenna,only catch was i brought the car stripped to the shop.

 

um.... 6500 i got new quarter ww kit sick paint job all the jams and the bay, its tight im happy but broke

 

700 bucks.. but i did all the work my self and help from some good friends

 

$15 bucks good ol flat black dont look like a show car but who cares

I wouldnt bang on Maaco too bad. Some of those shops do alright paint. But there are quite a few that are ****.

 

$3,700 this is not just the paint: supra tail light conver, is300 conver, shaved door handles, shaved ant, sparco fuel lid, 6 points roll cage(well i kinna come over and help him out too), fix the roof, and a dents around the car. The front end is twisted so he did that for free. What y'all think? The car is coming home this weekend. I;m excited.

i paid 650 for mine. everything but the engine bay was painted. he molded the kit, shaved the antenna, rear wiper, and emblem. took all the scratches and dings out

 

its not a crx but my hatch is light grey rustolium primer

cost like $60 for 10 cans from home depot

i like the grey beter than the flat black

will go to maco or 1day soon

id rather go super duper fast than look good

i only paid 800 including do0r jams and trunk....its clean i love it....great price also

 

maacos not bad at all...just don't get the cheap one (ambassador), of course thats gonna be bad. I paid like 450 for the ultra urathane and i am very satisfied..still looks the same after 3 years..anyone that spends more than $1000 on a paintjob for a crx is insane. Crx's are cool and i have 2 of them, but they are just a >10 year old economy car, not something that should have a ton of money poured into them with no hope of getting the $ back.
