tein H techs are horrible
recently installed a set of Tein H techs on KYB excel Gs, on a 93 EG sedan, si trim ( middle east JDM non US version with a ZC engine ), the car is a full restoration project
The result is horrible soft handling, very loose on mountain roads, scary even in corner entry, ery high body roll,
the entire suspension, is new, tyres are new 195/55R15, DC steel strut braces front and rear
now the Tein H Techs ae rated at 190F/ 130 R, visually they have very thin wire compared to stock si springs, and fewer wider spaced windings, the stock springs are nearly 3 times heavier.
the only thing i like from the teins is the perfect drop, around 1.4 inches, front lower than the rear, mild aggressive stance
given that i need the following from my suspension:
- sporty confident handling with the occasional weekend track day
- tolerable handling for a daily driver
- keep the same front lower than the rear stance
- i will keep the KYB excel G's for now, nice i cant find in the US parts sources the rear eye shock , not the US fork version
which of these would you choose:
- H&R sports 330F/ 280R
- Eibach Pros 290F/190 R
I know this topic has been discussed a lot, but i don't want to make another bad choice,

H techs were never meant for performance, that is what I interpret from reading the details on there site. What information did you gather before purchasing them in the first place?
...to be used in conjunction with OEM or similar shocks for excellent ride comfort...
...designed for those seeking a slightly lowered stance while maintaining high ride quality...
I'm seeing the same thing here. These are part of the Luxury Master series, and we concerned more for comfort and ride than any performance, especially with the lower spring rates that they come as. So, not to sound harsh, but I just don't think you understood what you were purchasing before you purchased it.
In fact, I have a set here for my TSX. They are EXACTLY as they stated they would be. One of the few companies that gives reasonably accurate descriptions without being in "broken English".

When you mean occasional "Track" day.... What kind of "Track" are you referring to? Drag race? or Circuit? or AutoX? Being specific makes a helluva difference.

guys, why is everyone missing the question I am asking?
i am not complaining about my choice, i tried something and it didn't work , fine,
my point is is that i never thought they would be softer than OEM springs, you always think that any after market spring will be stiffer than stock , how much stiffer and lower is the question
so again, which would you choose given the setup i mentioned,
H&R sports or Eibach pros.
or any other equivalent set of springs any of you have tried

Whichever fits your budget for whatever tracking you are doing.
