I know 9th gen hasn't been out for super long. But what are the weak points of the car? I haven't really seen a list or anything and have searched around.

I do know that:
2012's (Some) - Ring issues leaning to burning oil
2013's (a few) - Rocker Arm failures I believe?

That's really all i've heard.

I have heard of timing chain tensioner problems on other K series engines (k20's I think? not sure if it was the engine in the rsx or 8th gen si). Is this still an issue? when was this fixed (and was it widespread?) or was it mainly just cars that had upgraded cams?

Nothing really, im just curious. Well nothing extreme, maybe exhaust/intake but besides that I want to keep it pretty stock.

 

2012's had a factory recall on excessive oil consumption up to a certain number on vin.

 

you should have any issues... and the oil consumption was dealt with it's a recall.

 

Im assuming you meant shouldn't? I hope lol.
