Default Guidance need on my new (to me) 98 ex 2 door

Hey guys I'm looking for advice on what to do with this civic I just bought. The car was involved in a small wreck and killed the front pass side axle/fender/bumper cover. I've taken all the replacement sheet metal from one of the parts cars I bought and I have the car back together. No biggie. But my question is in regards to what are the common steps in improving performance on the motor. I'll log on with my phone to add photos. I asked my friend about turboing the motor and he suggested not doing it due to the weak motor

I would also like to raise the ride about 4" or so from the silly springs that are on it. Is there a company that makes stock shock compatible springs. I know better than to cut stockers. I don't care about handling as much as ride quality

As for engine mods are camshafts a worthwhile improvement? I'm not gonna bother for only 15-20hp. What is the best bang for the buck engine tuning software? I'm not putting big stuff or motec on a $900 car lol

Finally are those "LSD" units sold on eBay that press against the spider gears worth buying or just eBay junk? Sorry bout all the horrible questions but I didn't find a noob FAQ section. Thanks guys I can't wait to drive this car and enjoy the MPGs!!!! Pics soon

PS I bought a turbonetics turbo and "spoolin performance?" manifold
