pos id send it back and tell them to send you a quality built part or send a refund but dont open it untill you decide what to do

 

yeah i didnt open it yet... but the guys over there are pretty cool. they're out of stock rightnow so maybe i'll send it back and get a refund. errrr

 

well I know this guy from chicago that had bought a spoon hood and it wasn't in perfect condition. The place he bought it told him that they weren't liable cause spoon shipped the hoods across the sea and they couldn't do anything about it.

 

it could be normal for all i know but its really up to you..its your money and your car if you think you can let it slide and it wont affect the quality of the lip them mount it and leave it but if you want quality which is probally what you payed for id send it back

I say send it back. Regardless that lip is all banged up wheather it be from spoon or due to shipping. Then get a different lip, one that you can paint so if it scratches you can have it fixed.

 

My spoon wing didnt live up to my expectations at first. The weave was beautiful but the sides didnt fit flush and the rear edge had some skuffs. I was pissed until i saw some knock offs, which fit like absolute ****, and some other spoon wings and realised mine was actually one of better ones.

 

those are normal mistakes for cheap carbon fiber products, not something that should pass inspection at spoon!

 

I hate it when my Air Ducks get scratched up.

see that line from the right side of the air duct? where the CF is overlaping each other. mine has that too, is that because of air duct? they ahve to use two pieces so it will fit in the duct?

i dont know....that overlap/crease crap where the duct is looks like **** to me..."nice"....riiiiight....

i dont know why ppl jock the quality of spoons' CF, cuz it sucks ***....all the hoods, wings and lips ive seen have messedup/uneven weaves or creases in the carbon fabric, the fitment is OK at best, and the overall quality is decent, nothing special...and yes, they are real spoon parts im looking at to make these observations cuz they are my friends cars...

Are the Fiber Images, and Spoon lip identical? I have seen pics and they do look different. Someone please clarify.

 

For the money I would expect a better finished product.
