2012 Civic Head Rest/Restraint
Hi everyone. My 2002 Accord finally failed me and I just replaced it with a 2012 Civic. The problem is, due to how far forward the head rest leans, I end up with neck pain and back pain when I drive it. If I lean the seat-back back far enough that I can sit normally without having to push my head artificially forward, the seat-back only touches my lower back.
I basically have two questions. First, is there a way I should sit so that I won't have this problem? Or at least something I could do with the way I sit to mitigate it? Second, is there something I could do to change the seat itself to improve the situation?

Howdy,
I don't know if this still applies, but we had the same issue with our 2006 Civic. I was able to swap headrests with a similar year Accord which didn't lean forward as much. Its been a long time, but a pair of new headrests was actually fairly reasonable. The color and fabric match wasn't perfect, but it wasn't awful either.
Perhaps visit the dealership and see if they'll let you try a headrest from another model?
