Alternator replacement problem
2008 Accord LX 2.4L

Maintenance record: poor
Disclaimer: My girlfriend''s car, maintenance wasn't a priority, ever
The car started making a funny noise at start up and the engine began shutting off randomly after 15-20 seconds and occasionally when coming to a stop. Went to Auto Zone and had the alternator and battery tested. They said the Alternator is bad and the battery will need to be replaced soon.
Purchased a new alternator and replaced the bad on, also replaced the serpentine belt. Replacing the alternator was a challenge in itself and I needed an extra hand to get the belt on. Anyway, to replace the alternator I had to remove the cooling duct, disconnect the cooling hoses (lost a lot of antifreeze, added a gallon), air hoses, disconnect some wiring harnesses, and remove the exhaust manifold heat shield.
After reassembling everything, I tried to start her up. She cranks, fires, and turns over flawlessly. However, when it turns over it runs for about 1-2 seconds and then shuts down every single time. Everything sounds great but it won't run. Unfortunately, I had to reassemble everything the next day as I had to wait over night for a new serpentine belt. My first thought is that I failed to connect a certain hose or wiring harness. If searched several times and cannot find anything that looks out of place or is disconnected. Next thought was a fuel pump but why would changing an alternator through out the pump? I'm at a lose now and am looking for any helpful advise as I need to get this running by Monday afternoon. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

It can sometimes damage electronics when they get just a trickle of voltage. That being said, put a code reader on it and post the exact codes it's throwing.
How's your fuel pump? What about the air filter?
Restricted air flow will make it shut down, but that would take a very very dirty filter.
If the fuel pump pumps badly, the engine may not be getting enough gas.
A similar issue I had in my dad's truck was that there was lots of rust in the tank that would block the intake of the fuel.
