Ok so I just picked up a d15b non vtec with around 50k the distributor cap got busted during shipping it looks like
What dizzys work for this? I have a d16y7 as the donor motor would it be better to buy a new cap or is it possible to run y7 cam dizzy and cam gear?
Sorry been trying to research this but haven't seen anything that helps on other forums

 

if your distributor physically bolts to the head, it will work. if it does not, you can swap its guts into the casing of the broken one.

 

Ok I was just reading that the timing is based on cam duration and opening and what not so I wasn't sure if that would be an issue

Did you get the motor from an EF?

 

I honestly don't know I just know it's supposed to be obd2

 

Well it's not an EF then haha
Just cross reference the numbers. Most auto shops like autozone can cross reference part numbers for you.
