Default no power to fuel pump

I have a 95 civic ex and after placing the main relay, ignition switch and ECU I still have no power to fuel pump. Fuse 34 was initially blown and replaced. I tried jumping 1 to 7 but the jumper got red hot immediately. No clue what to do next. Any ideas

What happens when you do the 5-7 jump? Does the pump run?

Did the pump run with the 1-7 jump?

Did fuse 31 blow when this^ happened?

What happens if you run power and ground wires directly from the battery to the unplugged fuel pump? Does it run?

No 31 did not blow. I am going to try to run power to the pump from the battery tomorrow. It is my grown sons car and I can work on it a bit on my lunch beak and after work.

Redo the 1-7 and 5-7 tests using a thick gauge copper wire. Does the pump run?

Why did you go and replace the switch and the ECU just on a whim like that?

Have you tried supplying power directly to the fuel pump to see if the pump itself actually works?
