but i agree with stephen c, i dont think thats cool topping out cars on public roads. thats instant death, kinda scary to me and pointless. instant jail time......
and can the S2000 really hit 163???? what was the actual MPH on that.

Stephen C - There are people other than "rice boys" and teenagers who drive at ludicrous speeds on public roads. I'm not saying that I agree with it, but your generalizations are ridiculous.
Stephen - let darwinism take care of its course... the only troubling thing is that sometime better gene pool is taken out by the morons.
Video of me doing around 140 where it belongs -- on a track. God I hate newbie rice-boys. Again, those speeds on public roads are for dumbass teenagers who cannot drive and don't have the sense to understand why it is so dangerous.
Now, if there were a track in my area where I could've accomplished the same thing, then I probably wouldn't have done it on a public road. But since there isn't, I made the next best decision which was completely safe and not irresponsible in my opinion.
Where is the cutoff in speed between "ok to do on a public road" and "stupid/ricer"?I don't know anyone who does keep to the posted speed limit 100% of the time. Does that mean that everyone is a ricer because we speed on public roads? I think not.

not to stir up trouble, but teenagers may be reckless but also have better reaction time then say a middle-aged guy relaxing and listening to his mid-life crisis Rolling Stones: Bridges over Babylon cd.

C Steve: I agree with some of your arguements that certain speeds r rediculous and unsafe, but you're still a serious loser. Knowing your not a "teenager", Im sure you never were one right?!
Am Im perfectly sure that you are justified to throw the first stone too correct?
Anyway, I myself(at the ripe age 0f 31)have gotten to 140(stock at the time)in my Lude. Very stable car, the faster it goes it seems its stability improves. Now with good aftermarket suspension upgrades along with brakes, its even better. I can just Imagine how good a S2000 is.

C Steve: Great comebacks with those "cant spell" retorts. Seriously though. Tell me which runway you want to meet on. I would have no problems pretending that you are common grey squirrel crossing the street.
31 and you still can't spell? Oh well perhaps English is your second language.
And, to relate to the topic. Yes, speeding on public roads is dangerous and is a behavior based in the ignorance to the safety of those around; however, taking on the role of a moral superior is a behavior based in personal igronace; jurisprudence is not to be made by one man for all his peers, Mr. C.

Wow, something I agree with Stevie about.
Excessive speeding is not safe. By that I mean 163mph on a freeway is really stupid - having passengers while doing it is even worse. And yes, I was stupid before. And I thank God a deer or a tire puncture or something else didn't happen to cause me to lose my life. I'm not belittleing those who've done it before but you've got to live and learn and grow up. A much safer venue to do that stuff in is at the track or some kind of sanctioned event. Death does happen. I can understand 10 or 15 over but even then the folowing speeding violation isn't worth it.
And I think it's spelled "condescending" or a derivative thereof. "Condensation," for example, is the fog on the interior of your windshield.

Yes I was the one who was goin 163 mph....(actually 158 MPH)
And Im not a teenage rice boy...........(actually 30 to be exact)
Anyways, do you really think I could ever reach that speed weaving in and out of traffic????? WELLLLL youre nuts guy......
It probably took me about 4 miles or so to reach that speed......(you think I would do that with traffic... HELL NOOO...)
Does it make you more of a man to make fun of rice boys??? C Steven???
Now thats pathatic.......

I think profpin has a point. Who hasnt driven fast on an empty stretch of freeway with no one around? I think its safe to say most of us. The Person asked if anyone had topped out there s2k, Not if its safe to drive fast. So go change you diaper and stop babysitting the whole world.

let darwinism take care of its course...
At that speed a strong gust of wind will cause quite a ride.
Without nearbuy medical support....
Will
-who does not care what the 'top' speed of his car is... b/c he will not be driving at that speed while on track

Soy Espanol pero puedo escribir ingles perfectamente. Odd huh, being that I live here I realize the neccessity to understand and write the language.
Boo hoo for you there was no condensation in my tone, I was making a point then giving the guy a way out, I understand how hard it is to write correctly in two languages. I still don’t manage to do so correctly sometimes.

Anyhow, I took my S2K up to 145mph and shut it down cuz yes, lol... I got skerd. It was at 4am in the morning, so no cars around. But I know it can go faster, cuz it was still pulling when I let off....l
Steve: why not do the whole world a favor and buy a toy gun and put on a turbine and run through a busy intersection in DC.
Hey, FWIW, correct spelling is crucial to communication. If one exhanges condensation and condecsending it won't make sense. For example, "I hate Mr. T's arguments filled with condensation." That means Mr. T has a problem with spitting while arguing with someone. What the user really means is that they don't like Mr. T's demeaning tone of argument. Make sense? Or you can read the above statement. Kinda funny.
Wow. Did that make you feel better about yourself Newbie?
Newbie? Coming from someone that has only been a member for 33days...
However, I agree 163 on public roads is not very smart.
I'm still trying to figure out how to put on a "turbine." Seriously, is it one leg at a time or head first?
I crack myself up.
Pone (who's counting the days until I make the same mistake!)
