Normal stance and ride quality for Skunk2 struts & springs?
Recently finished my '98 LX Sedan project and amongst the stuff I bought for it was a set of Skunk2 struts and a set of Skunk2 springs, both brand new, both authentic.
Installation instructions for the struts were beyond retarded. I figured it out, but had to remove one of the two red poly bumpstop/bushing deals from the rear struts because it didn't look like they'd fit. Everything is installed and honestly, I'm not entirely happy with the end result.
I'm running 92-93 GSR wheels, and I forget the tire size, but my rear tires are just a few hairs away from starting to tuck while the front tires have almost 1" of wheel gap. The car looks to have an even stance if looking at the body lines relative to the ground, but I always adjusted my drop heights based on wheel gap using coilovers.
Ride quality is bouncy, and only slightly better than the quality I got from coilovers on OEM struts.
Is this typical of lowering springs? This is my first time buying a set, as I've always used coilovers in the past. Anyone else using this setup on a 6th gen that has some feedback?

You sure you didn't accidentally put the front on the back and vice-versa? The springs for the rear are taller and the ones for the front are the short ones.
I'm pretty sure the springs even had indications for front and rear which I followed.
Since when is Skunk2 putting out junk?

I don't think skunk2 is one of them.
Coilovers aren't the only option right out the gate.
Most people don't want to spend 800+ for a DD suspension.
Since they started putting bounty on there parts. Google "skunk2 bounty"
I'm not really knocking skunk2 on all of there parts, only suspension, coil, springs, and bushing have all been known to be ****. They make a good intake manifold for the price.
But I agree, if you're on a budget coilovers aren't likeminded.
I adjusted mine before the install. But even then, spanner wrenches and some time man? Cmon.

You don't have too, progress, function and form, and Tru hart all make soild coilovers for under $550.

The others are omg stancy suspension..not into it, don't think they're worth the price.
AND OP said he didn't want to deal with setting ride height.
Function/Form is ****.
There's a reason we have an FAQ sticky. OP, you know better.

I didn't buy them expecting to feel like I was riding in a brand new cadillac, but I knew I should be getting better ride quality than I currently am and that is my fault because apparently I'm retarded and put the springs on backwards. I could have sworn there was something printed on the springs determining which spring goes where which is why the shorts were put on back and longs on front.
I always lower my cars, mainly for looks more than anything else because OEM ride height looks like the car is lifting its skirt. I just didn't want to go as low as I have on previous projects because it's getting hard for my old *** to get in and out of a car that sits on the ground.
