Default Noob: how to bleed clutch '97 Civic

Hi all - first off, I have zero knowledge about cars.

Problem is my clutch won't engage - turns out the reservoir is empty. I bought clutch fluid and was told I have to bleed the clutch, but I can't find a video to show me how to do this. Anyone have any resources? I can't drive until I figure this out, so I need to do this ASAP, and I'm hoping this solves my problem so I don't have to take it to a mechanic. Thanks for your help!

Have you tried to determine why the clutch reservoir has no fluid? For example, is there a leak? Do you see fluid staining on the carpet below the clutch pedal?

Thanks, RonJ!

I figured the first step would be to fill it and bleed it, and (if that works and I can drive) then see if it leaks out. Then I'll know if there's a leak...

Just checked the car and there's no fluid stain below the clutch pedal.

Another place to look for a leak is the slave cylinder.

Ok, if I can find out where that is I can look. I found this guide but the images are broken: OFFICIAL DIY: Replacing the Clutch Slave Cylinder (Leaking clutch fluid) | ClubCivic.com - Your Online Civic Community

This diagram should help you find the SC at the front of the transmission, and also instruct you on bleeding.

Thank you. Any resources for bleeding the line? That's where I need to start. I still can't find anything online that shows me how to do that.

Bleeding the slave cylinder bleeds the line. That's where the the SC gets fluid.
