Default Vehicle sensor?

Recently my 99 Honda Accord Ex seems to be having difficulty shifting wrong and shifting into high gear when it is not suppose to shift before hand I find the brakes seem to lock up a bit slowing the vehicle down to a complete stop. I also find it very weird when I swapped out the VSS for a new one it still does the same problem so I checked the ECU to see if that's the problem it wasn't it either. Is their anything else that I can't think of that can cause this problem because the vehicle seems to be doing this for two weeks now and I can't locate the problem maybe a new tranny?

Is this a V6 Accord? if it is, they are known to have transmission issues.

If it is the 2.3L 4 cylinder Accord. You could be in need of a fluid change or possibly and issue with one of the shift solenoids. Possibly a cleaning would help.

is your check engine light on?
Have you tried retrieving any stored codes from the ECU?

No it is a 2.3 Cylinder but thanks for giving me some ideas to look at. My check engine light was on I took it to a local auto parts store the reading gave me a code read saying I needed to get my timing belt changed or adjusted but I really don't think that could be that big of an issue but I won't know for sure unless I take it in. I have not done a transmission fluid change since I've bought the car but thing some things to look at thanks! I'll let ya know if these things are not the correct parts that aren't needed.

Did they give you the actual code number?

Just wondering what it was because there is no diagnostic trouble code that tells you to change/adjust your timing belt.

No the gentlemen at o'reilly's didn't' seem to intelligent just told me that the timing belt was off from the indicator I might have to go to another local auto parts store to get the check or a Honda dealership here in town.

Yesterday my Accord did the same thing but it's when the car gets hot or been sitting out in the sun all day long. When I drive in the morning when it is nice and cool the vehicle shifts perfectly fine and acts like their is nothing wrong with it. Recently this morning while coming to work I can hear a squeal I think it might be the brake pads going bad with rotors but hopefully I can get the rotors "turned". Yesterday when I was driving back home the car was shaking pretty badly idk if that might be the brakes going bad or not.
