00 ex secondary 02 sensor harness plug location?
Where under the floorboard? Is it under the carpet on passenger side? Please post photos if you have them. Just the plug location.. I need to extend to y7 engine harness.
Under the dash, behind the center console. I think you have to remove the plastic cover over the SRS ECU first, pull carpet back and you'll see where is passes through the floor.
Ok I found the harness plug. I planned on buying an extension from hondapartshero honda-tech member, Now im stumped on how to fish the plug + firewall wire from the cabin through to the engine bay. Theres a grommet next to the battery on right hand size.... TOO small. Is there an easier way?
I know we've talked through messenger but can you clarify again. Do you have the EX exhaust manifold and 02 sensors from the original Y8 engine? If so you can just swap all those over to the new engine and it'll be plug and play. You don't need to use any of the Y7 manifold parts at all unless its for smog reasons.

How would I go by wiring the secondary o2 sensor directly to ecu? Wiring diagram? Its a 2000 honda civic ex. Had a y8 before motor blew, Now I have a y7 in it. Im using the ecu 37820 P2E A92
Tried using extension from honda parts hero with no luck. To confirm, the White/red color of the 4 wires is the secondary harness correct? (which is sitting near the transmission. I tried extending directly from o2 sensor into the blue grommet near shifter where I unplugged the other harness... which I dont think needed to be used if I did a straight extension from o2 sensor to secondary o2 sensor harness correct?
Near the shifter under the carpet I found the secondary o2 sensor which had White/red colored wire that was connected to a plug that lead into a hole with a blue rubber grommet.
Need for an inspection. way overdue.

look up the obd2b ecu pinouts.
**** doesn't make any sense.
If this is an ex model that secondary o2 sensor plug should already be there.

I used this pinout https://honda-tech.com/honda-civic-d...ensor-1314886/
Secondary o2 sensor code was gone after using a scanner, but cluster either stayed on with key out or ignition stayed on when turned all the way over to 3 and removed at 1. My 12 volt was tapped into B1 where I ran into that issue.. I tried b8 and same issue.
Its now now not tapped into B1 or b8 and car is running normal, but o2 sensor is not fully connected and currently pulling code once again.
White/red to white/red (direct from harness to ecu)
white/green to green /black
black white
black/
So if the secondary o2 sensors cleared and showing its working.. what Would be the problem of the ignition remaining on when turned all the way over and keys are taking out?

Its a 2000 honda civic ex with a d16y7 swapped motor. Harnesses are stock.
Hard wiring the Secondary o2 sensor directly to the ecu to satisfy it not to pull the code.
Missing code not to sure again. But its not even connected so the code is based on that. As per post #11 I had it completely off when I cleared it with my scanner. Just ran into the issue of cluster staying lit with key out or Car still running with key out. Believe its something to do with the 12 volt constant. If anyone can help that would be great.

Ok ill test it tomorrow. But for more clarification its not an issue when the 12 volt power wire from Secondary o2 sensor harness wire is not connected/Not tapped to b1 or b8 on the Ecu. only occurs when I am tapped into it directly to the ecu; which in return causes the cluster light to stay on with key out or ignition to continue running.

Doesn't the sensor need a 12 volt power? The black wire coming off the 02 sensor harness correct? If so? which 12 volt do I tap into if its not the black/yellow B1 off the ecu? I know squat about electrical.
Battery voltage for the O2 sensor heater element does not come from the ECU. It comes from fuse 15 on the Blk/Yel wire. You also need to verify that the other three O2 sensors are properly pinned to the ECU. Based on the pins you mentioned, they are not. Match wire colors to the correct ECU pins.
So stop trying to do electrical work until you do your homework. Otherwise, you may blow the ECU or burn up the wiring and create a fire hazard.

I double checked and its the correct wires going to the exact locations. Even switched them... Same issue. From my understanding either black wire can be switched.
To Ron J, My white/red wire (direct off the harness near cabin shifter) goes to the A23 pin
Green/white goes to C18 pin
Black/White goes To A8 PIn
other black wire went to B1; If its not suppose to go to B1 where should I go by putting the 12 volt 4th wire without running into the issue I had. Just lost on why the issue only occurs when tapped into B1.

You failed to read my previous post that tells you that your Blk/Yel wire does not go to ECU pin B1. Read.
On the Ecu the yellow/black wire is B1. Its not black/yellow on the connector harness itself.
So if It doesnt go to B1 then where would my 12 volt wire go?
