Well, I have many plans for my car and so to document the build and share my gains and struggles, I've decided to start a "build" thread where I will post as many pictures as I can and keep y'all up to date with it. This will be a slower build than some of the other builds on here but it is needless to say a build.
To start things off: How I acquired the car.
That was the day I brought her home and after much thought, I decided to name her Mia. Mia is a fully stock Special Edition Civic EX that has every option that you could get from the factory.
What I would like to do in the near future:
1. install rear disc brakes (Whether that means that I get brakes from an EP3 or do a 5 lug conversion from a DC5 while also getting rear disc brakes)
2. Rims (obviously)
3. Suspension
4. Exhaust
5. K series swap
6. Exterior (front lip and rear lips maybe) and Interior (Recaro seats, better sound system and a few other things.)
I am sure that I am missing a few other things but for right now, that is all that I have in mind.
While this build will be slow pace, when I do upgrade, money will most likely not be spared.
Thanks guys! BE sure to give me any ideas and/or opinions that you may have!
Well, went to the junk yard last Saturday and picked up a few goodies and while I was there, a friend texted me saying that he had a friend that had rims that I could maybe get.
Picked up a rear sway bar off of a 2005 Acura RSX (middle) and changed out my wimpy stock sway bar (left). I also found a DC lower Tie bar bracket on that same RSX and I will be cleaning it up and putting it on Mia when I have time to jack her up and swap it on. It does need cleaned more and bent back so it is straight so I need to do that first.
Any thoughts??
Here is the set of rims that my friend found. They are Icon rims and 17" 4x100. I know that Icon is not that great of a brand for tires but these look like the rims that I have always imagined getting for my car. The top one is a little bent but I will bring it to a company to have them true it for me.
Tire size is 205/40/r17 but I will try and squeeze 205/45/r17s so that the tires aren't so thin!
Thoughts?
Not that great of a shot but that is with the new bar installed.
What it looked like stock...(Forgot to take a before picture but this is the exact same thing.)
